Dear Guy, Walt, John, Mark, Epson and you guys helped solve the problem. Yes, Guy and Walt . . . exceeding 44" was indeed the problem. But also, after getting off of the phone with Epson support, it is also required that the setting for 13" be entered with a figure of 12.94" for those of you on the precipice of falling into a similar pitfall. so the custom setting would read 12.94 x 44. 16 bit was not a problem with the G5, top OS 10 before Tiger, and CS2. This means that without a RIP, the 2200 is capable of printing a rather short panorama, if you ask me. (A fact that I am rather late in realizing.) Will the 2400 require a separate RIP in order to print a larger, longer file? How about the 4800? I think that's something we should know before we buy one unless Epson gives us a discount on a 3rd party RIP.
