My own feeling is that matte suffers on all counts - both with B&W and color, compared to Premium Luster. Discounting the metamerism, color with the 2000P was even good and intense with Premium Luster, and is totally natural and fine with the 4000. Haven't seen the 4800 yet, but I am able, with tweaking, to get jet black blacks with the 4000 on Luster paper. Matte simply sucks in my opinion.
