There is banding at anything less than 2880 dpi.

I have been very busy and haven't had much time to play around, only a
dozen or so prints, but at the max 2880 dpi I get quite nice band free
prints, but bucket loads of ink. Have to adjust the ink levels way down
and play around in photoshop to get things looking normal. At the moment
definitely not close to wusiwyg printing, but I am thinking I will be
able to get results that will satisfy my humble needs for a fair while
at least.

Hanging out for the A3 and A3 Super sizes on the 1800 to work though.
