Digital BW, The Print

Hi Charlie;

It isn't just the dmax- as you may have gathered from some recent 
threads many just like matte cotton papers better aesthetically. But 
that's a very subjective call you have to make for yourself. There is a 
a procedure for changing over the 7600/9600 without triggering the 
flush cycle. I'm sure someone will figure it out for these printers as 
well. It involves turning on the printer in 'service mode 2' and 
instructing it to not do an ink check. However, the button combination 
for getting into 'service mode 2' has changed with each generation of 
wide format printers, so until someone comes up with the service manual 
or some insinside info, you're stuck with doing it Epson's way or not 
at all I guess.
