I hope that you don't mind me jumping in here. I've switched to Kodak 
Ultra 100 and 400 as my all-round films, mainly because of their 
extreme scene brightness range (around 13 stops, thanks to their 
overexposure latitude) that is all usable when scanned. In low light
I use Portra 800, pushing it two stops if necessary.
