Update, Wanted to fill you in on the final outcome last night with my panorama printed out of Photoshop and qtr. After I set up the qtr 2.2( new version) I was able to complete my project. QTR functioned beautifully. My final print was 20"x170" ( 14 feet long) on William Turner rag. This is as large as Photoshop would let me go. It took several hours to complete. I lost count. I used the slower qtr setting. The file was sent to the 9600 at 170 dpi in greyscale 2.2. The resolution was just fine and the tonality was quite smooth. I normally use at least 240 dpi but this worked. I tried the new version of PS CS2 and found no difference in its ability to handle larger files on my Mac. My final pixel count was 3400 pixels by 28900 pixels = 32,300 total pixels I assume? It was nice not having to tile out of Illustrator and keep the control of qtr. But apparently for anything longer ( please no ) I would have to use Illustrator or buy Studio Print which I should have anyway....... John
