I wonder if you could turn off the ink detection setting to avoid 
this. Check the files in the Epson wide format group for the African 
ink change method. I'm pretty sure that lists the menu settings 
needed to accomplish this. I don't have an X600 printer, so I'm just 
guessing.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
