Digital BW, The Print

I am a b&w photographer currently printing with either a C86 with MIS 
black/grey inks, or a 2200 using QTR (with Epson color inks).  I am
not 
dissastified with either, but (perhaps I'm getting greedy?!) would I 
gain anyhing by going to the MIS black/grey inks for the 2200?  And
if 
I did that, would I still use QTR?  Thanks,  Edward
