There has been and there will be smaller film manufacturers that take 
over recipes and/or licenses of emulsions that are no longer produced by 
bigger companies. Like Adox films got a new life after the German 
manufacturer ceased production of consumer films decades ago. The plant 
equipment more or less was sold to Croatia then and became Efke. The 
Adox brand name has a different history meanwhile. Often clones of films 
are produced by smaller factories. Not all films will survive but one 
may expect that some Ilford, Agfa and Kodak films worth it will be 
produced by others in the future.
