Digital BW, The Print

This is the alert of Paul Roark at the workflow page of MIS:

»This 1280 Mac workflow is very printer specific and does not work for other
printer model numbers.  If you have a 1290 printer, the Epson driver for the
1280 must be used...«

My friend tried to install the 1280driver but his G4 Mac OS 9.2 German does
not accept the available english version of the 1280 driver, so it can´t be
used here for his 1290 printer.

The VM inks controlled by the 1290driver gives nasty results looking like
solarized in the black areas.

Accordingly my friends problem is to get the 1280 printer loaded and make it
work.

Any help?
