I just tried both profilmaker 5.03 followed by
profilemaker 4.15. You cannot use the spot measure
function in 5.03 without the dongle. However you can
use it in 4.15 (Both from the menu and clicking on the
spot function icon.
However, I am a bit of a novice when it comes to
interpreting the lab data. Is there a simple
conversion from lab values to density?
Help would be appreciated

I'm using MT version 5.0.3 and it's working fine.
One thing you have to do that I think was changed is
that after
you Configure and select the device you have to close
the configure
dialog window before the others become available.
Also if you use
both spot and the scanning mode you have to close one
before starting
the other. 4.1.5 didn't force you to do this but I
found the two modes
could interfere with each other.
