Photo Service Inc. (www.mainphoto.com). There is a list of labs at
the Agfaphoto site, obviously there are other labs which are not

processing situation is not as grim as it seems.

The processing limitations kind of intrigued me, so I went looking.
It would seem that there isn't really anything different about Scala
reversal processing as from any other reversal process (that said I
haven't tried it yet). It would seem that anyone that can do E6 could
setup to do Scala. The only links with anything that could be called
helpful are these:
http://www.silverprint.co.uk/bwf2.html#SCALA
http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=007Ful
Note this is all I found so far, I've only spent about an hour
searching. Also note that the first link has a 4 step process that
they claim works with Scala and others.
So it would seem that anyone with a Jobo ATL1000 or better would be
able to handle this film, and any other clear base B/W film. For
anyone who loves this film, might be time to hit ebay for a used
ATL1000/1500. I know they can go for a lot ($1500+) or a little ($800
with lots of extras) depending on your luck. You could also do this
process by hand, but having done E6 in an inversion tank, I really
don't recommend this method, standing at the sink for an hour really
isn't what I like to do. If you buy an ATL1000, you might still be
able to buy the upgrade control panel to turn it into the (almost)
ATL1500 which has greater flexibilty for the programs, and a few
extra custom defined program spaces. I think the upgrade was around
$500 from Adorama. This and a good drum scanner might be a good
little bit of income for someone when all the rest of the labs stop
this process.
