Having only one week to travel 1 from Santa Barbara to Seattle would  just be frustration.  A month maybe, but that's not really enough time either.  Especially if photography is the objective.  Having to wait on the light, the tide, etc., not to mention walking to get to the best places. 
 
Soooo much to see, so little time.
