Re: [Digital BW] 7600 roller marks

2005-07-30 by Tom Baker

I get this, to varying degress, with all papers that I use on the 9600. I disengage the paper engagement lever at all times when not actually printing. On some papers I've seen it in as little as 30 minutes. The short term impressions seem to disappear, but the ones where the paper sits in the engaged position overnight or longer seem to be pretty permanent.

I've been printing with a PermaJet Alpha 24" roll in the 7600 recently and
have noticed that if the paper sits loaded in the printer for very long the
rollers leave in impression in the paper. I have never noticed this with
EEM, UltraSmooth, or Premium Semimatte (which are the other papers that I
use in rolls).

Have 7600/9600 users noticed this with other papers?
