In Taos be sure to visit the Chuck Henningson gallery at the end of Morada Lane off Kit Carson (follow Kit Carson east to the end of the business district and turn left). Chuck is an excellent platinum printer who has made the transition to the digital world. There is a website, which I think is www.chuckhenningsongallery.com (if not try Google). Otherwise it is hit or miss regarding photography in Taos. Check the art listings in the the Taos News (Tempo section) which comes out on Thursday. Other good galleries (non-photography) in Taos are the Parks Gallery next to the Apple Tree Restaurant and Fenix at the north end of town. Fenix sometimes shows photography, ask Judith, the owner, who she represents. In Santa Fe, the Smith Gallery on San Francisco St in the plaza is the mainstay and shows great work by well known photographers. But the real gem for photography is the new Verve Gallery on East Palace (just west of the intersection with Paseo Peralta). Wilson Scanlon and his father, John, run this place. They have a great website, as well, www.vervefinearts.com. Check the fine art listings for Santa Fe in THE magazine. I don't know the Albuquerque scene, unfortunately. Enjoy
