here is some drama...Before I knew for sure that thye "black"setting used colored inks, I sent this question to epson tech support: I was just wondering why my driver seems to have a "black" mode in addition to the advanced B/W mode. The "black" mode makes nice photos, and appears to use no colored inks at all. Is this correct? Why does this option not appear in my freinds windows driver? You are correct that the black setting would be black ink only.
