Scott, Upgrading from 1gb to 2gb has absolutely been the best upgrade I ever did to my computer. My files often weigh in at 150-300mb each, and photoshop became _much_ faster when working with those files. It felt like upgrading to a totally new computer. Bridge and ACR still seems awfully slow though. I work much faster in Rawshooter Essentials 2005. Maybe for those applications a faster processor would help. I have an Athlon XP2600. Make sure to test the memory before working on anything important. I got a faulty chip the first time round, but nothing on my system detected any errors. I just noticed noticed files getting corrupt and my system becoming more unstable, so I figured it had to be the memory - But only after losing several files I spent a lot of time working on. Very scary. Prime95 has a test mode will reveal any faults on a memeory chip: http://www.mersenne.org/freesoft.htm -- Daniel Staver http://daniel.staver.no
