Yes, or so I have read from various sources. It continues after change without any noticeable effect. Only problem I heard of is someone improperly pressing the feed button instead of the ink button, which, of course, ejected the print. I printed a dark sunrise panorama of similar length and concern; the ink use was not that bad.
