David's post reminds me to ask for advice about how well Fujifilm's new "Pro" color-print films scan (into RGB, for conversion in Photoshop). In the case of NPZ 800 Professional, I'm not sure it hasn't simply been renamed Pro 800Z (and gone from $6 to $7 at B&H). Similarly, NPH 400 Professional is being renamed Pro 400H (and going from $5 to $7 at B&H). In both these cases, I think some redevelopment might have preceded the name changing and price bumping. (If so, I guess the NPZ is a bargain while it lasts.) In the case of the NPC & NPS ISO-160 professional film, however, I think the re-development and presumed improvement might be coinciding with the change in name to Pro 160C and Pro 160S (and price hikes from $5.50 to $6.50 at B&H). So I'm most curious to know what others think of how well these new (I think) ISO-160 films scan. -- Sam >David Aschkenas wrote: >> I shoot a lot of editorial available light stuff for Colleges with Fuji 800 >> color neg., which looks great under any lighting conditions, so I would be >> looking for a digital camera that would perform well under those >> constraints, at least 800 speed, with minimal noise in the shadows. >[snip]
