RE: [Digital BW] Re: r200 with QTR

2005-08-30 by John Moody

The FS-Y is lighter, so you should have fewer dots visible in the
highlights. After seeing a Tyler Boley print, I realize there is a _huge_
improvement possible from what I have toyed with using UC inks in the 2200.

Anything I come up with I’ll be looking to discuss. Minimizing dither
patters is my goal. The Epson/Roark approach is hard to beat, and will be
my benchmark.

Best regards,
John Moody

John,

I'll let you know if I try them. In the meantime, I'm also interested
in your solution. I'm familiar with the UT7 inks, though I've never
used them. What is the advantage of using FS-Y over the standard UT7 Y?

I'm hoping you'll be kind enough to release whatever QTR profiles you
come up with!

Thanks,
Matt
