Hi Lisa: You can help us help you by first telling the forum a few specifics, like: Operating system and printer model Paper you are using and as many details as are relevant. Just offhand, I would ask if you are printing on the right side of the paper. If you are using a paper that's only coated on one side, which is the usual case, printing on the wrong side would make your image muddy. Coated paper is coated to control the dot gain. The ink will spread considerably on uncoated stock. Things to try while you're waiting for more response: Do a nozzle check to make sure you're firing on all cylinders. Check all software settings.
