[Digital BW] Re: problem w/MIS spongeless UT-FSN... help possible?

2005-09-03 by Steven Karafyllakis

This is more a 1280 problem than the fault of spongless carts. A
year or two back when the 1280 was the newest machine in use, there
was an endless string of 'clogs from hell' being reported. I finally
gave up and put dyes back in mine. When I switched to the spongless
carts, I had no trouble whatsoever-until I put Eboni in the K
position, whereupon it clogged up in a matter of 2-3 prints. Let's
face it, the 1280 was made for dyes-we've been lucky to be able to
use it at all with pigments.
