Re: [Digital BW] Re: problem w/MIS spongeless UT-FSN... help possible?

I ALSO have 2 1280's, and each once had a CFS/CIS (along with my
previous 2 1160's), and I made the switch to the MIS spongeless carts..And
GUESS WHAT?? It seems as though ALL my clogging/foam issues have finally
disappeared!..I'm using LYSON Fotonics on my color unit, and MIS UT2 inks in
my B&W 1280....I couldn't be happier!..yes I also use a set of disposable
gloves when re-filling..but each re-fill seems to be getting "NEATER!"..

Just my 2 cents...

I have two 1280---one loaded with MIS color inks and the other with
UT2 inks for BW. Till I got the spongeless carts, I had much trouble
with clogs (air bubbles more likely thn clogs). Now I have not had any
trouble other than the occasional ink drop on the page being printed.
That was most likely from the print head hitting a bent corner of the
papaper being used. I don't think I'm doing anything different than
anyone else, but I wouldn't ever go back to spongefilled carts.
Filling these clear spongeless carts is so simple and clean now that I
fill them in about 5 minutes. I do wear rubber gloves to keep my hands
clean though.
