I don't know what the spots of light grey are - are they in the original image or only in the print? There is a known problem with QTR/Gimp with large patches of solid pure black, eg a black background. The dither breaks down and evenly spaced lines perpendicular to the path of the print head can appear. Adding a little noise fixes this. > From: mltphoto <mturlington@hotmail.com> > Reply-To: <DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com> > Date: Sun, 11 Sep 2005 16:50:41 -0000 > To: <DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com> > Subject: Re: [Digital BW] QT Rip and large black areas > > Got it, but I also noticed other areas in the black areas that were > like spots of light grey, will this fix that as well or is there > something else I need ot do.
