Tom: Some of us are finding the spongeless carts to be bulletproof. Yet you are not alone with the probelms. So it's not a design problem but may be a production problem. I used my 1280 today for the first time in 2 weeks. It's loaded with Eboni and MIS PRO color in spongeless carts. The first nozzle check was perfect. I would ask Bob Zeiss at MIS if he has any clues before you give up completely.
