Thanks Eddie. I need to spend a little more time and see if I can make it work. I'll give Bob a call tomorrow.

  Tom..

I agree with Bob..I don't think I would use the word "bulletproof", but
coming out of 5 years of killing CIS/CFS equipped 1160's and 1280's with
EXTRA CLEANING/PURGING cycles,, CLOGS/FOAM issues or whatever, I couldn't be
happier and more free from headaches than I am now with 2 -1280's equipped
  with spongeless carts...

I definitely would give Bob at MIS a call on your problems..I don't
think your situation is typical of most of us that are now using the
  spongeless cart settup..
I think you will find these folks VERY reponsive, but I would definitely use
direct phone contact vs using email..

Tom: Some of us are finding the spongeless carts to be bulletproof.
Yet you are not alone with the probelms. So it's not a design problem
but may be a production problem.

I used my 1280 today for the first time in 2 weeks. It's loaded with
Eboni and MIS PRO color in spongeless carts. The first nozzle check
  was perfect.

I would ask Bob Zeiss at MIS if he has any clues before you give up
  completely.
