I use Media Street OEM Compatible Plug-n-Play inks on my four 890s and 
one 1280 all with CIS.  In my experience my printers love humidity and 
don't particularly care about temperature.  I'm in humid Maryland and 
printing is best starting in March through Oct or whenever I close the 
windows.  No A/C here - I'm surprised wife hasn't pulled my plug long 
ago.
