Re: platform

Julian,

Honestly, just get whatever you *want*.

While I have used both Mac's and PC's I have always bought PC's for my
home because they have always been much cheaper to buy, accessories
much cheaper and more available and games, services, utilities,
shareware and bootleg software (not that I condone its usage) are also
much more available. PhotoShop has always been nearly identical on
both platforms so you will have no learning curve once you are in
that.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I have never found anything about the
Mac OS that warrants the religious fervor that are stirred in some of
its users, nor do I have any great feeling of attachment toward Lord
William and his (generally *pretty good*) products... but, as I said,
I use both and don't care.

I certainly don't want anyone to start on yet another Mac vs. Windoze
downward spiral... just wanted to give you support no matter which way
you go.

I just "upgraded" to XP, so if you want a report in a couple weeks
regarding my opinions after using it in PhotoShop and quadtone
printing etc. I will be happy to give you a follow up.

mark

PS If it was better supported I would be using UNIX...
