I use both Macs and PCs and am happy with both. But, a suggestion, a short time ago I put together a machine JUST to run Photoshop and my printers for images. Rather than go to the newest, fastest and most expensive, I put together the following: 9600 PowerPC (ebay-$275) Sonnet G4 upgrade (Crescendo) Belkin USB/Firewire card (2) 60 Gigabyte Drives 1.5 Gig RAM 100 MByte Zip Iomega CDRW Put the whole system together for under 2500, lots of expansion left and plenty of room for 300+ Megabyte images. Certainly a little slower than the brand new stuff, but reliable and since it is basically devoted to Photoshop, no strange extension conflicts or software problems, very stable. New G5 would be great and Dell has a couple of nice units, but both PC and Mac market mirror the worst of buying a new car. Soon as you drive the latest model off the lot, it drops 50% in value and there'll be a new model in 9 months. Write down your basic needs, then look for whatever fits it. Butch
