Craig, if your concern is the eboni-dye incompatibility, I think you are worrying a little more than necessary. It is, certainly, true that there is a problem mixing these inks, but mild mixing does not always cause problems. I run several 1270 and 1290 printers with eboni, and when I have had problems with foam in sponges etc., have used dyes to test the printer and clear the problem before reinstating CIS or eboni refil. I have never had problems directly attributable to the mixture. Print a *lot* with eboni for a few days and get it everywhere - it should overwhelm any dye ink or base left over from a previous use. Do a few clean cycles (not more than 3 between prints of course.) Don't print a tiny amount and then pause to see what happens ... Ken
