Digital BW, The Print

At the risk of asking question that's been covered before, has anyone
compared an Epson 2200 using MIS UT7 inks with an Epson 2400 using
Epson inks?  More specifically, I hear that folks are really pleased
with the 2400's capabability with B&W, but I already have the 2200 and
I'd rather avoid the added expense of a new printer if I can avoid it.
 Additionally, I generally print on mat papers.

If there are threads that discuss these two combinations specifically,
please point me there, or share your personal experiences.
