There are two things you need to be aware of when printing a book with an inkjet machine. First is the potential for the media to scuff and scratch when handled often.I've seen many books ruined quickly from this. Second is the tendency for most papers (even the nice ones) to transfer the dark blacks onto facing pages. I've seen many otherwise beautuful books ruined after a few months because of this, even when sprayed. You need to test the paper you like for the black transfer potential. I would spray a print that has an area of total black, with one of the uv sprays like Premier Art or Lascaux with about 3 light coats and then press it under some heavy weight books for several weeks in a fairly humid environment with a blank sheet of the same media facing the print. Innova is good in regard to strong coating but I have not tested for black transfer. Hahnemuhle Photo Rag duo performed badly in my experiments. The only paper I've tested so far with perfect results was Premier Art Hotpress (Epson Ultrasmooth). It performed well both sprayed and unsprayed but, their dual sided is 500 weight, too thick for my taste. Two papers worth testing are the Innova Soft Cotton dual and the new Crane Museo 2 dual to see how they compare in this regard. John
