I purchased carts for my R200, but my understanding is these are the
same as for R1800, R800, C86, etc., and only the chips are different.

I asked MIS if they'd sell me the carts without a chip (for a lower
price of course) and they don't have any that way.  Apparently they
order them already chipped.

I've wondered if the poor-fit problem is the cause of the delay. 
Perhaps the 2400 chip circuitry requires a bigger bump on the bottom
and the cart's chip well simply isn't deep enough.  If that's the
case, then it will require a redesign of the chip or the cart. 
Someone said that We-Ink also doesn't have a chip yet.  Just
speculation, but there has to be a reason for the delay...
