Hi Clayton, though Jon initially intended to bring out Piezotones for the Canon, it never happened. They took it a ways, I even saw test prints, but I think there were some problems that would make a viable supportable product impossible. I may have even heard the heads heat up the ink to some extraordinaly degree. Suffice it to say that they work very differently from Epson printers. Skip, I have profiled the i9900 for a few friends. The results have been suprisingly good for B&W, much better than (older) Epsons in RGB mode. I would suggest selecting a paper or two and having some good custom profiles made. For use with color inks, that's about as good as it gets. It's a good printer, and perhaps Canon will come out with some better B&W solutions in the future. Alternatives would be good for us all.
