Digital BW, The Print

I have some warm-toned, fiber-based, silver-gelatin prints that need 
some very dark spotting ink. I've tried a few, such as various Spotone 
and Marshall inks, but the match isn't that great. I need more density. 
Since I have bulk Eboni on hand, I thought that I'd give it a try. 
Comments? Can it be diluted with distilled water?
