So highlighting the text, copy, and then paste into a text editor 
doesn't work? Also, depending on the forum, the message ID doesn't 
ever recycle, so all you have to do is save a favorite of the URL 
with the message you want to save, you can then go back to it at any 
time.

But what ever works best for you is of course what you should do.
