Will contamination be a major problem? Andy, Contamination would definitely be a problem. Those sponges hold a lot of ink. When I changed the inks I was using in my NMC CIS on my 1160 I bought a new set of carts from NMC for around $35. These carts already have the nibs for the tubes attached. I just ran tap water through the tube lines, then sprayed compressed air through them to remove excess water, then hooked them to the new carts. At this point your CIS is like new - you can just vacuum charge the system with your new inks just like the first time. Todd
