Re: Lumijet,Lysonic,MIS Monochromes which is best?

Well... Most folks here seem to use piezography ink or MIS (all the
flavors but mostly VM or FS).

I have some experience with Lyson Small Gamut which is a dye based
ink and it is virtually clog free, but not cheap as it is only
available in cartridge form.

I have been using the MIS FS ink as my primary (both with piezo
software and with Epson driver (using John Wolf's curves)for about a
month now... Went through 4 sets of carts with totally no clogs,
banding or anything but perfect nozzle checks... A couple of weeks
now into using FS with CIS and got a microbanding issue yesterday,
cleaning "changed" it but didn't fix it, so I brought out the windex
and and overnight soak gave me perfect nozzle checks again and have
been printing 13x19 prints all day with no issues, so I think this is
a solution that deserves serious consideration.

I have a few VM carts I want to try (in between LSG carts) just to
see how good it is. I doubt that I will actually switch from LSG
because I like making the ocassionaly glossy print and that just
isn't practical with any of the pigment inks...even the pigment mixes
don't really cut it.

I guess I would advise you to find an ink you like and then install a
CIS system to save money, rather than switching inks for economy.
