I do not know for sure, but I suspect that there are actually real differences between all these printer
models.  And since the 1160 is both an inexpensive unit and a relatively early (now discontinued) one, that
the later and more expensive Epson printers have better (more reliable) transport, paper handling etc.
technology than the 1160.
