These Red River papers are loaded with OBAs. Their Premium Matte just explodes off the page with color intensity and the illusion of greater tonal range due to the ultra white (bluish) white base. The designers love it for this reason. If they don't care about longevity its their work. I wonder if Red River with this rag paper is taking Hahnemuhle stock and coating it themselves. Can an OBA be added to a paper during the receptive layer coating process or does it have to be done in the initial paper making procedure. john --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "wwodets" <odets@c...> wrote: > > Clayton- > > On the samples of HPR and Dourian I have, the Dourian looks slightly > darker (grayer?) than the HPR under ordinary light, but the Dourian > shows much more fluorescene than the HPR under black light.
