This is my first post to the group, so thank you in advance for your help. Recently I purchased the MIS EZN ink for use in a C86 printer. I popped the cartridges in and tried printing, not realizing that there was a foil sticker that needed to be removed over the ventilation hole (no instructions were sent with the cartridges!). After I got those suckers off (which was quite an effort), my first print yielded terrible banding. The MIS tech support has suggested all these remedies, which I've tried to no avail: 1) Making sure ventilation holes are uncovered (yep! Poked a paper clip wire into them to make sure). 2) Leaving cartridges sit outside the printer for a day to eliminate any air bubbles. 2) Running a cleaning cycle (Did two for good measure, plus ran several nozzle checks. Perhaps a small improvement, but still there is banding). Before using the MIS cartridges, I used the Epson color cartridges and had no problem with printing. I have noticed than the cyan prints fine, the black with very small banding, the yellow and magenta with the worst banding. Any suggestion? Thank you, LPipes
