I only post occasionally, but think others might be interested in this,
as well.

For several years, I've been "floating" my large prints (30X40) on
acid free foam core. The surface is a rag paper with a little texture,
and they look pretty handsome hinged with linen tape (hidden on the
back) and a 3 or 4 inch border between print and frame.
The problem is that I can't find anyone who sells the foam core with a
white surface paper. All I can find in NYC is an off white/ cream
colored surface.
That works for many photographs, but there are those others where it
absolutely does not work.

Can anyone suggest a source or two for 3/8 or 1/4 inch foam core? Right
now the only alternative I can think of is to dry mount a white sheet
of acid free
art paper on top of the existing piece, but as you can imagine, it's a
laborious process. It would be great to find a source - either local
or on the web.

Thanks,

Clayton Price
