That was my experience and view also.  However, now having an R200 and R220,
both made for dyes, I'm beginning to wonder about the dye v. pigment design
significance.  So far the R200 & R220 have been perfect.  Time will tell,
but I'm now wondering if a significant part of the 1280 problems were cart
related -- which doesn't alter the bottom line conclusion that, on average,
the 2200 appears to be a more reliable printer.

In the 1280's favor, I think the 2200 and that entire first generation of UC
printers had a weak matte paper dmax.
