The file has to be converted to the output profile prior to printing. I don't use Qimage and noticed that subsequent posts are Qimage centric. Can Qimage, while requiring an RGB image, not convert to a greyscale ICC profile at printing? If not, surely Qimage could simply pass through the file pixel values to the printer (ie a Same as Source workflow). Then, I think, one could converted the image to the QTR Create ICC output profile (greyscale), ASSIGN the RGB profile required by Qimage and then print Same as Source. Users of Qimage would have to judge if this is possible. > From: Tom Husband <thusband@...> > Reply-To: <DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com> > Date: Sun, 4 Dec 2005 03:59:09 -0800 > To: <DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com> > Subject: Re: [Digital BW] Re: Epson Premium Printer Profiles for B&W Printing > > So you're saying use the existing QTR-Create_ICC and then convert the image to > rgb? > > Tom > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Steve Kale > To: DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com > Sent: Sunday, December 04, 2005 1:18 AM > Subject: Re: [Digital BW] Re: Epson Premium Printer Profiles for B&W > Printing > > > I'm not sure I see the point.
