What a great idea!  After several uses the rubber plunger thingie
loses its smoothness and I've not found a way to restore it (tried
applying silicon), so I end up buying new ones now and then.  Seems
like a terrible waste of material and money.  Your idea would
eliminate the problem.  Please let us know if you find a way.  Perhaps
silicone seal...
