Hi Mark;
This sounded like an idea worth trying, so today when I ran across
some epoxy formulated for plastics (a new one on me!) I bought it
and just finished testing it. I glued the front end of a syringe to
the outside of the cap, so if it doesnt hold well I will know rather
quickly. However, the glue joint gives no sign of weakness. I used a
short blunt needle, and refilled a couple carts by rinsing and
trabsferring the needle cap. I suppose long-term it might be better
to do a needle cap for each bottle/color, but I probably won't
bother, I have too many of them between 3 printers.
At any rate, kudos for coming up with a good one, this works quite
nicely.
The glue I used is Permatex 'PermaPoxy 5min. Plastic Weld' part
no.84115. I found it in an Advance Auto Parts store, where (or if)
our overseas friends might find it or something similar, I don't
know.
