Digital BW, The Print

using channel mixer in monochrome mode. I have a problem with the 
clothing - anyone run into problems with people wearing white shirts?  
I'm getting blow outs on part of the image because of that and can't 
figure out what to do....

You can't get blow-out that isn't there in the original unless your numbers
add up to more than 100. If that's what you're doing, I suggest backing off
the numbers proportionally, and then using a curve (or fancier tools) to
bring back the average brightness without blowing the highlights.
