I'm responding to my own posting, as I've solved the problem (with Paul Roark's help -- thank you!) and thought others might benefit from my experience. The problem seems to be that the new base used in the MIS UT7 inks causes the ink to behave differently on EEM paper. The softening I mentioned arises because the ink spreads on the surface of the paper. I've found that I can get round this problem by reducing the amount of ink deposited using the "Ink Configuration" slider. The optimum setting seems to be -15%, but because I can't tell what proportion of the ink in my cartridges has the new base, I expect to have to adjust this. The new ink seems to work fine on HPR without any adjustment. Fortunately, there doesn't seem to be any need to adjust Paul Roark's curves, or to remake my soft proofing profiles. --Daniel --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "daniel" <dnj@m...> wrote: > > Help!
