I have just started using the R200 w/ Eboni BO, and the results are as good as BO on my 1270, and almost indistinguishable from a UT-FSN inkset on my 1270 (both in tonal range and under a loupe) - all printed on EEM. I find the following settings work for me (which are different to Clayton Jones' - maybe printer manufacturing tolerances). 1 In Photoshop "No Color Management" 2 MP-H 3 Best Photo 4 High Speed on (slightly less bleeding than High Speed off) 5 Ink Black 6 Color Control Gamma 1.5 (a better profile than 1.8) 7 Brightness/Contrast = 0 hope this helps Keith Prue --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "jim0266" <jim0266@y...> wrote: > > Should I expect to get the same quality of prints off an R200 as I was > getting off my 1280 when Black Only printing with MIS Eboni ink? > > Since the R200's are dirt cheap as refurbs off Epson and MIS has > spongless carts for them, it seems like a low-risk investment. > > Thanks for any insights. > > Jim >
