I concur with what John has said. I use Lascaux for matte paper to avoid dmax loss and Premier Art Print Shield (the solvent based one) for glossy paper to get the best dmax and hide the bronzing better. If I were doing Epson color, I might use Premier Art for that even on matte for the UV protection, which Lascaux does not have. In my tests Epson pigments fade at about a 30% lower rate with Premier Art, whereas MIS pigments only get about a 10% boost. With custom B&W inks I've made from Epson pigments, this spray brings them right up to where the MIS inks are in terms of fade resistance. The Lascaux and Premier Art spray cans also seem to have about the best nozzles I've found, which is important for even results on glossy paper. Be sure, of course, to turn the can upside down and clear the nozzle after the spraying is done to be sure that nozzle stays in good condition. Additionally, for important prints on glossy paper I avoid nearly empty cans. The pressure gets too low to get a good spray. Paul www.PaulRoark.com
